RESIDENCE PERMIT APPLICATIONS FOR CHILDREN BORN IN TURKEY

Following rules apply regarding the residence permit applications of children born in Turkey:

1- Birth certificate entitles the child to stay in Turkey for six (6) months depending on the date of parent’s residence permit.

2- On condition that parent’s residence permit is less than six (6) months, child’s right to stay in Turkey depends on this date.

3- For children who have the right to stay due to the birth certificate, it is required to receive a residence permit appropriate for children’s situation within six months.

4- Birth certificate does not provide a right to exit from and visa-free entry into Turkey without residence permit.

5- Fined residence fee shall be received from children who stay in Turkey with birth certificate and have not applied for residence permit within envisaged period.

RESIDENCE PERMIT APPLICATIONS FOR CHILDREN BORN OUTSIDE TURKEY

Following rules apply regarding the residence permit applications of children born out of Turkey:

1- For national under age 18 passport – if the mother and father cannot be determined from passports or passport substitute documents or national identity cards, a birth certificate is requested for children under age 18 that they must have (Turkish Embassy/Consulate Apostle is done in your country /or in Turkey your country Embassy/Consulate Apostle is accepted).

Next the Turkish notary public certified sworn translations are completed in Turkey, to be able to give in Turkish language on the govt appointment date.

2- Approved parental consent declaration is requested – in case of absence of either mother or father* (in case of death other spouse must present death certificate). Approved guardianship document for the child is required in case of divorce. If these documents have obtained from Turkish Authorities they must be e-signed / signed and stamped / sealed; if obtained from foreign countries,

3- If the applicant is a citizen of a state that is not a signatory to Apostle Convention – said documents must be approved by the relevant state’s authorities (consulate approval and by Ministry of Foreign Affairs or Competent Turkish Authorities authorized therefor).

Important after entered: eVisa, Visa, Visa Exempt upto 90 days valid within the first 30 day stay, and sticker Visa upto 1 – 30 days before the visa expiration stay, are eligible to apply for Residency without any nationality discrepancy by the Turkish government. Border cross by road issued visas do not qualify for Residence permit.
