WHAT ARE NEW RULES FOR TURKEY RESIDENCE PERMIT?

First-time application lodged to the Göç İdaresi online website, and those who do not attend the appointment or simply do not cancel active application in progress before appointment date, will not be processed and are entitled to infringement of Visa violation.

Renew application lodged to the Göç İdaresi online website and those who do not complete the e-ikamet process is entitled to infringement of Residence permit violation.

Renew application lodged after May 2019 in 81 provinces in Turkey, the procedure for submitting the e-ikamet documents in 5 days by mail has been canceled and extension applications are no longer done by mail or PTT cargo, courier service. In the new procedure the foreigner shall submit online for extension application and (be present at the determined appointment date and hour) at the provincial / district Directorates of Migration Management they have applied to in their city of house address, to include;

WHICH DOCUMENTS ARE REQUIRED FOR RESIDENCE APPOINTMENT?

  • E-ikamet residence application form (must be signed by foreigner and/or legal representative).
    .
  • Passport original + photocopy of Passport document (pages containing identity information and the page containing photo and entry stamp page).
    .
  • Biometric photos (4) each (must have been taken within the last 6 months) against white background and biometric.
    .
  • Turkish bank statement for 1 year duration residence permit to show Migration officials on how you plan to support yourself. For example 500 USD x 12 months account balance statement (or TL equal amount to monthly Turkish minimum wage index). For 2 year duration $12.000 USD in the account is sufficient.

  • Turkish health insurance (not mandatory under age 18 and above age 65). You should provide the signed and stamped / sealed original insurance policy during interview.

  • Turkish rental contract if you are staying in a rental house with a rental agreement, attach a notary public approved copy of your rental agreement to the application documents and include the owner ID and tapu copy.
