THE MOST FOREIGNERS AND ASYLUM SEEKERS IN THE BLACK SEA ARE IN SAMSUN

Samsun took the first place in the Black Sea with the number of 35 thousand 314 foreigners and asylum seekers.

Turkey iResidence – “the Migration Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs shared the distribution figures of foreigners who have a ‘residence permit’ and are covered by ‘temporary protection’ by province.”

As of April 28, the number of foreigners who have obtained a residence permit in Turkey was announced as 1 million 477 thousand 997, while 62 thousand 841 of these foreigners reside in 18 provinces in the Black Sea Region.

Samsun takes the most load of foreign with a residence permit in the Black Sea Region with 25 thousand 17 people.

Of the 3 million 762 thousand 686 Syrians in Turkey under temporary protection, 35 thousand 828 are located in the provinces of the Black Sea Region. Samsun also took the first place in the Black Sea in the number of Syrians under temporary protection. There are 10,297 Syrian asylum seekers in Samsun within this scope.

According to the announced data, foreigners who have obtained a residence permit most often reside in Samsun on the Black Sea. Samsun is home to 25 thousand 17 foreign citizens, while yabacılar, who have obtained residence permits in other provinces in the region, are as follows:

According to the types of foreigners who have a residence permit in 2022 throughout the country, 1 million 46 thousand 840 of them are short-term, 129 thousand 289 are students, 94 thousand 563 are on family permit, and 147 thousand 305 are on the borders of Turkey for other reasons.
