HERE IS THE ASYLUM SEEKER MAP OF ISTANBUL

Turkey iResidence – in the 39 total districts of Istanbul, ‘temporary protected status, residence permit or fugitive status’ more than 2 million foreigners live one by one, explained the places of residence.

A map has been made of Istanbul for asylum seekers as a result of field research with public officials, local administrators and mukhtars. According to the map, there is a density of foreigners in every district of Istanbul.

.
ASSESSMENT OF THE MAP IS AS FOLLOWS

More than 2 million people with temporary protected status, residence permits or on the run live in 39 districts of Istanbul. Besides Syria, there are people from all over the world, from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Uganda, Nigeria, Congo, Libya. Today, there are 250 thousand foreigners in Esenyurt, which has an official population of 1 million. It is not possible for any district to remove such a population increase.

According to the figures announced by the Istanbul Governor’s Office, there are 1.3 million foreigners in Istanbul, but the Governor’s Office cannot track illegal immigrants. Governor’s Office figure does not include illegal immigrants. However, there are thousands of irregular migrants in every district of Istanbul. Public officials need to conduct much more stringent inspections and identify irregular migrants.

According to studies, 97 percent of them work illegally. They have no personal rights, they are not organized, they do not have health insurance or security, they receive money below the minimum wage. Drugs, prostitution gangs and terrorist organizations are trying to use these people. We may face foreign mafias in the future.

.
THEY AFFECTED THE HOUSING MARKET

Asylum seekers also have a very heavy impact on Istanbul’s housing market. Apartment and home rent prices have increased astronomically in districts such as Esenyurt, Bağcılar, Sultanbeyli.

The local Turkish citizens can’t get anywhere by blaming strangers. The problem is the government that prefers and implements this immigration policy. We can solve this problem by ensuring peace in Syria and maintaining our border security. Both our 83 million citizens and 8 million foreigners are paying very heavily for the AKP government’s preferences. 91 percent of the public wants a permanent, realistic solution.

.
THE FUGITIVES ARE NOT IN THE OFFICIAL RECORDS

Recalling that the refugee status is regulated by the UN Convention of 1951:

Since geographical reservations to this agreement has been made, only those from Europe are considered to be in the status of ‘refugees’. That is why there are currently very few foreigners with refugee status. Syrians are foreigners with a ”temporary protected status”. According to official figures, there are 3.7 million people in this status. An immigrant is a person who moves from one source country to another country for economic purposes by legal means. There are those who are granted a residence permit under regular immigration. 1.4 million people are also in Turkey with this status. And there is irregular, illegal migration.
.

They don’t have records because they’re on the run. Therefore, according to scientists’ estimates, a total of 8 million asylum seekers with temporary protected status, residence permits, or who have entered illegally are in Turkey.
